The rules of the 777 Writing Challenge are as follows:
Scroll down to the 7th page of your work-in-progress, count 7 lines down, and share the next 7 sentences in a blog post.
Once you have done this, you can tag other bloggers to do the same with their work-in-progress.
So today, I'm sharing a 7 sentence snippet from my current WIP,
Seeking Hope (Emerging From Darkness Book 3).
Seeking Hope is the conclusion to the captivating romantic trilogy where love came easy, forgiveness came with time, but healing from devastating loss proved daunting. Together, Jessica and Matthew pursue an extraordinary future . . . seeking hope.
After all, that's why it's called a Work-In-Progress. :-)
. . . I moved about the small space, muttering a soft curse under my breath with every cabinet door I opened, and quickly found myself anxiously staring at the last cabinet in front of me. Please be in there, I prayed, hopeful that what I needed would be waiting for me on the other side of that door. Scared it might not be, I opened it and exhaled in relief, feeling both hands snatching up the large, metal can before I even had a chance to blink.
But after having it within my grip, and shaking it up and down a bit, I couldn’t help but let one slip. “Shitty, shit. Shit!” I closed my eyes, blindly tossed the empty can of bug spray aside, then turned my attention back to Holly. “I have a feeling we’re going to get very cozy over the next three days.” . . .
But if you can, have fun!! :-)
